In May 2021, during the height of the Covid pandemic, my much-anticipated Salsa Fargo frame finally arrived. I had purchased it from "Suicycle," a fantastic store in Hamburg known for its custom-made steel frames and excellent craftsmanship.
After such a long wait, the feeling of walking into the shop with the certainty that the Fargo would finally be mine was truly exhilarating. It was a moment worth savoring, knowing the next chapter of my cycling adventures was about to begin.
Back at home, assembling the bike was a surprisingly quick process. During the extended Covid lockdowns, I had plenty of time to meticulously plan the bike's setup and gather all the necessary components. The wheels, which had been sitting patiently for months, were finally ready to be mounted.
My main source of inspiration was Martin’s website, https://www.biketour-global.de/
His detailed description of his Salsa Fargo setup was invaluable and gave me the confidence to build my own bike from scratch. A big thank you to Martin for sharing his expertise!
