In May 2021, at the height of the Covid pandemic, my long-awaited Salsa Fargo frame finally arrived. I had ordered it from “Suicycle” a fantastic bike shop in Hamburg known for its own frame-building workshop run by Hagen Wechsel. If you ever find yourself in Hamburg’s St. Pauli district, I highly recommend stopping by the shop.
After such a long wait, I was incredibly excited to finally pick up the Fargo. It was a moment to savor—knowing that the next chapter of my cycling adventures was just beginning.

Back at home, assembling the bike was a surprisingly quick process. During the extended Covid lockdowns, I had plenty of time to meticulously plan the bike's setup and gather all the necessary components. The wheels, which had been sitting patiently for months, were finally ready to be mounted.
My main source of inspiration was Martin’s "Biketour Global" website.
His detailed description of his Salsa Fargo setup was invaluable and gave me the confidence to build my own bike from scratch. A big thank you to Martin for sharing his expertise!
For all who are interested to built up a Salsa Fargo from scratch for their individual purpose, here's my parts list.
